GPA Indy Message A new store brought to you by two retired racing greyhounds and the guy they adopted

Hi Fellow Greyhound Lovers,

 

Owen & Hanna (in the attached photo of the portrait they won at the GPA Indy
Picnic silent auction last fall) have asked me to help spread the word about
their new store... and when the Board of Directors barks, I listen... ok,
they are greyhounds and seldom bark. but they DO get their point across in
their own special way.    

 

"Healthy Hounds; a dog emporium" will be opening June 5th at the corner of
79th Street & Fall Creek Road on the north-east side of Indy... and we hope
to become a destination for pets and the people who love them.  Healthy
Hounds is a place for ALL pets, but greyhounds will always be extra-special
guests.  GPA Indy foster greyhounds will always be offered free use of the
self-serve dog wash on their weekend of arrival, and we'll have treats
available for fosters who arrive and feel like a snack before or after their
bath.  We hope you'll give us the opportunity to earn your business and
enjoy the products and services you'll find in the store.  Attached is a
copy of a coupon that will be mailed out during June by Money Mailer (one of
those coupon envelopes you get in the mail) to certain parts of Indy...
feel free to print one for yourself and/or forward it on to anyone in the
area who includes pets in their family.

 

Now, I'd like to promote something that will help animals in the
Indianapolis area.  Indy Tails Magazine & Wild Oats Market are sponsoring a
pet food drive during the month of June, "Tails to the Rescue", to collect
pet food donations that will be given to area shelters and rescue
organizations.  Part of the reason I decided to open Healthy Hounds is to
have an outlet to help pets, and I am pleased that Healthy Hounds has been
included as a collection site for "Tails to the Rescue".  The Indy Tails web
site has information on the pet food drive and a listing of all collection
