Hopefully this email finds you all in good health and off to a great start for 2009!  It’s hard to believe that a new year is underway, yet  we are excited about the year to come!  
We are especially excited to announce the first dog drop of 2009.  We have been calling foster homes, and recruiting has already begun!   If you haven’t received a call, you most likely will!   
What we know is this, the drop will most likely occur the middle to the end of February, a formal date has not yet been set, as Daytona Beach is working with other groups in the area as well.  As soon as the hauler has enough reservations to fill it, we can set a date.  We have several homes that have said yes, however we need 8 more!  If you haven’t fostered in a while, or have ever  thought of fostering this would be a great time to step up and give it a try!   If you are available to take a dog off the truck, please let Bev Creamer, or Linda Stillson know as soon as possible.  They will need to things like whether you prefer a male, female, if you have cats, kids etc.  We need to get the foster homes confirmed quickly, so that dog selection can begin!  We have several applications that have been approved and are just waiting on dogs that match their profiles.   Therefore, we do not anticipate that these dogs will be in foster care for
 very long.   
Daytona is quickly filling up and crowding is becoming an issue, if you can please open your hearts and homes, let us know as soon as possible!   We look forward to working with you all in 2009, and to welcoming the new kids in February!  Contact information for Bev and Linda are listed below!
